Our 2026 Fundraising Challenge
Well… we did it.
This weekend, myself and the team completed the Leicestershire Round — 107 miles and 33 hours from start to finish.
We had ridiculous weather, storms, tough route navigation, very sore feet, muddy fields and plenty of moments where the original plan basically went out the window.
But somehow, we just kept solving the next problem.
And then the next one.
For most of the challenge, I was obviously concentrating on putting one foot in front of the other and the team sorted out the rest.
We had people running sections through the day and night.
People waiting at checkpoints with food, water and medi-packs.
People driving around Leicestershire trying to get everyone where they needed to be.
People keeping track of where we were.
And people turning up at ridiculous hours just to help us keep moving forward.
I may have been the one covering the full distance, but there is absolutely no chance I would have completed those 107 miles without them.
It’s probably why one of the captions I posted afterwards simply said:
COMMON UNITY.
Because that’s what the whole weekend ended up becoming.
And together, we’ve now raised over £3,000 for Wishes4Kids, which makes all of the training, planning, lack of sleep, sore legs and questionable weather even more worthwhile.
I’m still processing quite a lot of what happened over those 107 miles.
But for now…
What a weekend.
And what a team.
